OPERATIONS MANAGER
In early 1999, Bill Hawley joined the Company as Operations Manager. Bill’s twenty years technical and management experience in the industry have allowed him to take on many of the day-to-day operations and personnel issues. Mr. Hawley's past experience at NEC America Los Angeles/Orange County in many different aspects of operations management make him a tremendous asset to our company. While at NEC he directed eight Project Manager four Engineering Managers. Overall responsibility for installation of new systems in LA, Orange County, and San Diego region. Annual departmental revenue $7 to $10 million. Developed and conducted training programs for Project Managers and Directors in other regions of the company. As Director of Materials he directed twenty-six inventory and purchasing employees. Overall responsibility for $5 million inventory and all purchasing processes. He also managed four Field Service Managers and four Service Engineers. Overall responsibility for Los Angeles and Orange County Field Service organization of 87 employees for 440 PBX customers. Mr. Hawley was chosen for special assignments representing company-wide operations interests during transition to new LAN/Wan-based computer system. (Infoflo by Interactive). Overall responsibility for the design, customization, fitness for purpose and implementation of new system, vis-a-vis operations impact. Transition was a success in providing real time service, inventory, and accounting information. The resulting improvements in reporting timeliness and accuracy were praised by NEC America and NEC Tokyo. Vice President
Joe Ray joined the Newcom team and is heading the general contracting division. His construction career began in 1982 in the dry wall and plaster trade. Within a year he was promoted to Foreman of his crews. The company specialized in metal stud construction, drywall, and did general construction on commercial and government work. He has worked mainly on federal government installations working for the S.A.B.E.R. contractor and V.E. at Edwards AFB . In the spring of 2000 he began working as superintendent for Straub Construction, Inc, a M.A.T.O.C. contractor working with the Army Corps. They hired him for superintendent of the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Project in Indian Springs AFB, NV. This job was completed in January 2001; The next job he ran for Straub was Sector support for the INS in San Diego. Both of these projects were over $15,000,000 projects. In all of Joe’s dealings with customers and sub-contractors he has been known for his cooperative attitude. He has the ability to work with the various trades in finding immediate solutions to the day to day problems that arise and give appropriate direction to complete in a timely manner. We are very fortunate to have such a positive member to head our new construction division. His relationship with other contractors will give us the ability to provide our customers with a team of contractors with proven past performances and a cooperative working relationship with our company. Joe Ray is certified with OSHA for their construction safety and training course. Joe also has the Army Corps of Engineers certification for Quality Control. ELECTRICAL PROJECT MANAGER Newcom has added all classifications to it’s electrical license. Gary Wilcox is heading our electrical division with over 20years experience in all aspects of electrical work including government installations. We are excited about providing all the high and low voltage installation on our projects and the experience Mr. Wilcox has brought with him to Newcom
