2002, Joe Ray joined Newcom. Joe has over 20 years of experience in
government contracting in all facets of construction.
He has an outstanding record for getting jobs completed ahead of
schedule and under budget. He has an
excellent rapport with the Army Corps of Engineers as well as the many
contractors he has worked with over the years. Joe Ray
brings a dynamic new dimension to the company, and will run our
construction division in conjunction with Monique.
They will focus on teaming and joint ventures with contractors that
have established good past performances and working relationships in the
government contracting sector.
Joe began his construction career in 1982 and worked mainly on Federal
Government projects. He worked for
the S.A.B.E.R. contractor at Edwards
AFB and continued working at Edwards
for over 12 years .
In the spring of 2000 he
began working as superintendent for Straub Construction, Inc, a M.A.T.O.C.
contractor working with the Army Corps.
They hired him for superintendent of the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle
Project in Indian Springs AFB, NV.
This job was completed in January 2001; The next job he ran for Straub
was Sector Support for the INS in San Diego.
Both of these projects were over $15,000,000 projects.
Certified with OSHA for their construction safety
and training course.
