William Hawley Vice President Communication
nIn
early 1999, Bill Hawley joined Newcom as Operations Manager of the
communications division. Mr. Hawley has twenty years technical and
management experience in the industry and is a tremendous assets for our
communications division.
nBefore
coming to Newcom he was the
Vice President of Operations
for N.E.C. America in the Los Angeles office.
His service area was from San Diego to San Luis Obispo.
He had over 97 technicians and engineers under his supervision.
Some of his N.E.C. Accounts included city of San Diego, County of
Santa Barbara, Warner Brothers & Paramount Studios, Kaiser and Scripps
Clinic to name a few.

Responsibilities
while at
NEC Business Communications Systems was the day-to-day service and new
system installations. Developed
various IVR and CTI applications. Set up manual Service Order process, he
supervised the transition to the
computerized system using Microsoft Access. Instituted N.E.C.’s Y2K audit
program and marketing it to there customers.
nMr.
Hawley’s annual departmental revenue was between $7 to $10 million. He
exceeded gross margin targets by an average of 15%.
His department also achieved targeted annual general service revenue
goals of $2.2 million
nHis
management of operation earned him letters of commendation and he was
inducted in to the N.E.C. President’s Club. He was selected for special
assignments representing company-wide operations interests during transition
to new LAN/Wan-based computer system. (Infoflo by Interactive). Overall
responsibility for the design, customization, fitness for purpose and
implementation of new system, vis-a-vis operations impact. The transition
was a success in providing real time service, inventory, and accounting
information. The resulting improvements in reporting timeliness and
accuracy. He received praise by NEC
America and NEC Tokyo for this project.
